Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Psychology typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     CobbFendley is seeking a Land Survey Office Technician in our Tempe, Arizona office. 
     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum 3 years related experience.
    • Experience with Civil 3D, familiar with MicroStation and OpenRoads a plus.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
    • Familiar with Trimble Business Center.
    • Experience with boundary surveying.
    • Experience in the reduction of conventional and GPS survey field data of boundary and topographic surveys.
    • Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification considered a plus.
    • Certified Survey Technician (CST) certification considered a plus.
    • ADOT experience considered a plus.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Prepare Topographic, Boundary, and Easement Surveys with limited input from RPLS.
    • Perform calculations for boundary analysis.
    • Coordinate with RPLS for final boundary decisions.
    • Prepare Metes and Bounds descriptions.
    • Perform deed research and prepare Working Sketches.
    • Provide Project Coordination with field crews and process field crew data.
    • Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned including assisting in field work as needed. 
    • Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work product.
    • Adhere to CobbFendley’s safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment.
    • Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity.


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Office factors could include:
      1. Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time. 
      2. Mobility within the office including movement between floors and workstations. 
      3. Repeated motions (e.g., typing, reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying). 
      4. Communication with other employees and clients.
    • Fieldwork factors could include:
      1. Physical mobility in and around construction sites, traffic work zones, and other field assignments.
      2. Physical mobility including but not limited to hand-eye coordination, steadiness, upper/low body strength, control precision, stamina, multilimbed coordination, static strength, manual dexterity, oral comprehension and expression, and depth perception.
      3. Alert and responsive while working in lane closure zones adjacent to high volume average daily traffic.
      4. Ability to lift, carry, pull/drag, and balance equipment & supplies (up to 50 pounds) in remote, rural, or urban surroundings.
      5. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and walk long distances.
      6. Walking long distances (3 miles) and climbing on uneven surfaces.
      7. Climbing in and out of a vehicle multiple times a day and driving for extended periods of time.
      8. Must be able to ascend and descend ladders while maintaining three points of contact.
      9. Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time.
      10. Mobility within the warehouse (between floors and workstations), high-traffic areas, and walk surfaces.
      11. Repeated motions (e.g., reaching, bending, stooping, carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling/crawling, squatting, twisting, climbing, head tilting and handling).
      12. Communication with other employees and clients.
      13. Work up to 12 hours or more per day, when necessary.

     

     

    ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

    • Most work is performed in a professional office environment. Some trips to client offices and job sites for observations and fieldwork will be required. 
    • Job site observations factors could include: 
      1. Walking and climbing on uneven surfaces, exposure to outdoor environments and extreme weather (heat and freezing temperatures), noise exposure, driving for extended periods of time, exposure to allergens (e.g., pollen, dust, cedar, sumac, poison ivy), exposure to construction and traffic work zones, possible hand and power tool use, and extended periods of Personal Protective Equipment use. 
      2. Extended use of electronic devices (e.g., computers, printers, copiers, scanners, plotters, and telephones).
      3. Use of cutting tools and equipment (e.g., plotting equipment, rotary paper cutter).
    • Fieldwork factors could include:
      1. Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments (approximately 80% of duties to be performed outdoors in the field and 20% are performed indoors in the office/warehouse).
      2. Ability to withstand extreme weather conditions (i.e., hot and freezing temperatures).
      3. Use of electric power tools, cutting tools and other equipment.
      4. Driving large pick-up trucks with attached trailers (if applicable).
      5. Potential watercraft use.
      6. Exposure to noise and vibrations.
      7. Exposure to including but not limited to poison ivy, sumac, cedar, pollen, dust, dirt, mud, common air quality pollution, etc.
      8. Enter and work in confined spaces.
      9. Exposure to construction and traffic work zones.
      10. Extended periods of Personal Protective Equipment use.

     

    EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST.
    • This position may include the need for overtime hours.
