The University of Miami (UM) School of Nursing and Health Studies (SONHS) seeks to hire an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Clinical position for the BSN-DNP Anesthesia Program. The BSN-DNP Anesthesia Program is fully accredited with an extensive clinical preceptor and nationally recognized certified health care simulation education (CHSE) team of faculty. The current board certification pass rate is an exceptional 100 percent on first attempt. SONHS has a fully equipped and operational 5-story, 41,000-square-foot, (including 4 ORs), cutting-edge Simulation Hospital. A global destination center for simulation-based education, research, and service, the simulation facility replicates the true flow of activities in a clinical and hospital practice (see https://share.sonhs.miami.edu/building-features/index.html). Qualifications: PhD or other Doctorate Degree in Nursing or related field, certification to practice as a CRNA, and current APRN/RN license. 3-5 years of progressive experience in clinical practice, and a teaching portfolio in graduate nursing anesthesia education Responsibilities: Conduct teaching and academic advising of students in the graduate program. Pursue scholarship and research activities, and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals. Participate in community and academic service activities, mainlining relationship with existing partners and assisting in the development of new clinical partners. Contribute to the guidance of students’ scholarly projects within courses and to the development of curriculum and course activities (e.g., course coordination, course evaluation materials, simulation development).
