Assoc. Professor - Rehabilitation teaches courses in the discipline area of rehabilitation and therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Rehabilitation provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Rehabilitation typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Reports to: Rehab Director, Area Director, and RDO/RVP

    Summary:

    Assist the Rehab Director with faxing, filing, and day-to-day operations of rehab department. Also, assist therapists and therapist assistants with transporting patients and patient care.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    · Transporting patients

    · Filing documentation

    · Faxing paperwork

    · Promote a safe and efficient working environment, adhering to policies and procedures

    · Attending required morning meetings as well as facility meetings that require a therapy participant

    · Assisting with patient care, if competency has been demonstrated

    · Assisting rehab director or treating therapist

    · Other duties may be assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Unless the Rehab Technician has been hired for the Rehab Director role, there are no supervisory duties. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Century Rehabilitation's policies and applicable laws.

    Education & Qualification Requirements:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customer, client, and other employees of the organization.

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram

    form.

    Computer Skills:

    Basic computer skills
