Job Title: Nurse Manager - Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cellular Therapy

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership

• Oversee patient care coordination in the BMT and Cellular Therapy program, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices.
• Supervise and guide Nurse Coordinators and Practice Coordinators to deliver superior patient care.

Procedure and Quality Development

• Establish, update, and implement standard operating procedures for BMT and Cellular Therapy.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, leveraging key indicators to evaluate outcomes.

Team Management

• Lead staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Promote a culture of collaboration across interdisciplinary teams, including inpatient, outpatient, and home care settings.

Education and Innovation

• Deliver comprehensive education to patients, families, and staff about treatment protocols and care strategies.
• Drive innovation through active collaboration in clinical trials and groundbreaking research projects.

QualificationsRequired

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience:
• 5 years as a Registered Nurse.
• 3 years specializing in Hematology, BMT, or Cellular Therapies.
• 2 years in a supervisory or managerial nursing role in an academic or matrixed environment.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership with a goal-oriented, collaborative approach.
• Expertise in regulatory compliance and clinical workflows.
• Proven ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage competing demands.

Preferred

• BMTCN (ONCC) Certification.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field.
• Familiarity with TJC and FACT accreditation surveys.
• Experience managing union-represented staff.
