Assoc. Professor - Social Work teaches courses in the discipline area of social work. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Social Work provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Social Work typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.   • TheHampton Campus of Bryant & Stratton College is accepting applications for an Adjunct Professor to teach Human and Social Service courses.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Correspond routinely with the Dean of Instruction.
    • Foster academic excellence in teaching and learning.
    • Instruct students in accordance with College policies/curricula.
    • Effectively prepare for class and encourage students to participate in College activities.
    • Support College extracurricular functions.
    • Remain current in the teaching field through professional development.
    • Prepare and submit beginning-of-term and end-of-term paperwork in a timely fashion.
    • Coordinate student internships and assist in recruiting internship sites.
    • Promote campus activities.
    • Provide instruction for day, evening, and/or weekend classes.
    • Provide instruction in face-to-face, virtual, online, and blended modalities. 
    • Maintain proficiency with technology, including Microsoft products (including Outlook and Teams) and Learning Management Systems (Blackboard).

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Masters in Human Services / MBA / Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work.

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 1-3 years of experience teaching preferred.
    • Ability to interact and work effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
    • Leadership, integrity, problem-solving, and strong communication skills.
