Assoc. Professor - Sociology teaches courses in the discipline area of sociology. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Sociology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Sociology typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Position: Science Teacher

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain precise and up-to-date records of student performance.
    • Design and implement tailored educational programs that cater to the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
    • Collaborate with an innovative team to develop effective policies, engaging curricula, and cutting-edge teaching strategies.
    • Prepare and deliver instructional content that reflects current best practices and accommodates individual student needs.
    • Assess student progress continually and provide constructive feedback.
    • Foster a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
    • Set high expectations and standards for student achievement with each new class.
    • Utilize a variety of instructional methods and educational tools aligned with modern educational best practices.
    • Support the administration in enforcing school policies and regulations.
    • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain open, effective lines of communication with colleagues, students' families, and the broader community.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Holds or is eligible for a New Jersey Teacher Certificate (K-6, K-8, or subject-specific endorsement).
    • Strong organizational and planning skills.
    • Proficient in technology use, including computers, printers, copy machines, and fax machines.
    • Ability to establish strong rapport with children and their families.
    • Articulate and professional demeanor with robust self-confidence and initiative.
    • A passionate and loving attitude towards all children and a commitment to driving educational success.
