Basic Function: To provide instructional, supervisory and direct leadership in a variety of BOCES programs.
Responsibilities:
1. To ensure that programs and services are implemented in a quality manner by assigned personnel pursuant to the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education.
2. Work with multiple districts, multiple stakeholders and families.
3. Lead and support curriculum development, pedagogy, and application of quality instructional practices.
4. Communicate and promote expectations for high-level performance to staff and students.
5. Lead and support teachers, staff, students, and families of the school community.
6. Foster collegiality and team building among staff members.
7. Collect, report and analyze school level data for instructional improvement and accountability purposes.
8. Provide for two-way communication with Director of Special Education, staff, students, parents and community.
9. Recognize excellence and achievement.
