      Assist the Associate Superintendent of Federal and Special Programs in monitoring and training for special education compliance and instructional effectiveness

      Qualifications:
      Education/Certification:
      Master's degree in educational administration or related field
      Texas Principal Certificate preferred
      Certified instructional supervisor and appraiser in T-TESS preferred

      Special Knowledge/Skills:
      Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction for special education students
      Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
      Working knowledge of early childhood and fundamental skills programming and instruction
      Working knowledge of speech pathology programming and services
      Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
      Knowledge of Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process
      Strong knowledge of special education law

      Experience:
      Five years special education experience
      Experience in working with fundamental skills programs preferred
      Administrative experience preferred

      Salary: AP PG6/12 Months
      Starting: $81,84
