Responsibilities:
- Oversee the admissions process from start to finish, including pre-admission assessments, documentation review, and financial arrangements
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to gather necessary medical information and ensure accurate patient assessments
- Educate patients and families about available services and answer any questions or concerns they may have
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Coordinate with insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Collaborate directly with the Administrator
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the admissions process and enhance patient satisfaction
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of care for new admissions
- Monitor and evaluate admission trends, identifying areas for improvement or expansion
Requirements:
- Previous experience in admissions management within a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of home care, acute care, critical care, hospice care, Medicare, and budgeting
- Familiarity with documentation review processes and requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
