Associate Buyer jobs in Rochester, NY

Job Responsibilities: ​

• Multitask between Customer Service and Purchasing
• Answers incoming customer calls
• Order Entry; upsell when appropriate
• Analyze inventory patterns to determine buying strategy
• Research new product lines and source manufacturers, vendors, etc.
• Negotiate pricing with Suppliers
• Create and maintain relationships with Suppliers
• Fulfill online web orders, as well as email orders
• Greet and wait on customers that come to our Will Call Center
• Know stock and non-stock products that are sold to customers
• Perform data entry and administrative duties
• Perform additional functions assigned at the discretion of your Supervisor
• Commitment to Economy Products & Solutions safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience in customer service and/or purchasing preferred but not required
• Strong math aptitude
• Computer skills: GSuite, Google Office
• Strong communications skills both verbal and written
• Excellent listening skills
• Attention to detail and quality of work
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Have a great work ethic and attitude
• Ability to sit in a chair for up to 7 hours per day
