Associate Dean of Business assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of business. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Business provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Business typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Business typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. BUSINESS OFFICE ASSOCIATE
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
2. Experience with accounting and bookkeeping
3. Experience with data processing
4. Payroll experience preferred
5. Must be accurate, efficient, and capable of handling detailed assignments
6. Ability to get along and communicate with staff, administrators, the public, etc
7. Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established policies and
regulations
8. Must maintain confidentiality at all times & good attendance record
Reports to: Director of Finance
Job Goal: Assist with efficient and accurate payroll functions, benefits and attendance, and accounts
payable.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Able to complete all payroll functions
2. Assist with maintaining payroll and personnel files
3. Work with the Payroll Specialist in processing all contracts, contract changes, and adjustments as
necessary
4. Assist with benefit enrollments and reconciliation
5. Assist with absence records and reconciliation with EduStaff
6. Verify information for the Payroll Specialist
7. Assist with State REP Report
8. Assist with onboarding new employees and exiting employees who leave/retire
9. Assist the Director of Finance in the preparation of information for budgets and audits
10. Assist with the front desk as needed
11. Assist with Accounts Payable functions as needed
12. All other duties as assigned

Salary and benefits are negotiable based on education and experience
