Associate Dean of Business assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of business. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Business provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Business typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Business typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Position Overview | The Business Manager holds a crucial position at the front desk of the School of Health Professions in the Dean's Office, reporting directly to the Senior Academic & Business Director. This role serves as the central point of contact, ensuring seamless administrative support for the Dean's Office leadership team. The primary duties of this role are to provide leadership, training, and guidance for all administrative staff across the school, documenting processes, and leading process improvement initiatives. As a key team member, the Business Manager not only manages front desk operations but also provides essential backup and supplementary support to the Senior Executive Assistant for both administrative duties and planning and executing events. |
