Associate Dean of Continuing Education assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of continuing education. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Continuing Education provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Continuing Education typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Continuing Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. This position also oversees the regional services for Counseling, Disability Services, Student Conduct, and behavioral support and intervention services. Duties will include direct supervision of professional staff, process management, policy development and enforcement, customer service, budget development, health, safety, and welfare coordination, and leadership and representation of student services and the student experience to a wide variety of constituents. The position includes the option of a 2-bedroom townhouse apartment on campus (pet-friendly) plus a meal plan in exchange for participation in the on-call rotation.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant field and six years of progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska Southeast campus in Juneau. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and a full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 84, based on education and experience.
