Associate Dean of Continuing Education assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of continuing education. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Continuing Education provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Continuing Education typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Continuing Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. The Center for Continuing Medical Education (CCME) is an accredited provider of continuing medical education. The continuing education specialist oversees and coordinates both program and logistic conference details that will retain CME accreditation. The continuing education specialist will prepare reports, research new program ideas and develop and execute innovative educational programs for the CME audience. In addition, this position will measure the effectiveness and outcome of activities, prepare fiscal reports and cost analyses, and design policies that regulate and promote conference services. This position will be a direct report to the director of the department and will serve to oversee the conference process as well as assisting in a customer-oriented manner all physicians and faculty presenters of the medical center in their educational endeavors. Multi-tasking skills are required, as well as excellent organizational skills and follow through.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
