Associate Dean of Graduate Programs assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of a graduate program. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Graduate Programs provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Graduate Programs typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. This position will assist in the Graduate Programs under Industrial Engineering. Duties will include but not limited to recruitment of students both on and off campus, oversee and evaluate admission applications to the graduate programs under Industrial Engineering. Provide academic advising to student in online and on campus graduate programs, as well as assist with marketing materials and the marketing of graduate programs for the department, and will coordinate with other units on campus as needed to develop, maintain and grow graduate programs and assist graduate student with success in their program. Maintain programs and student records, assist with ASEE report, assist with new student orientation, assist with the TA/RA application process and the Seminar Series. This position will be part of an office team and will be asked to assist with other administrative office functions as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. One years of academic experience advising students. Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and group leadership and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. Experience with OSU's policies in academic and business functions. Higher Education advising and distance education experience is preferred.
