Associate Dean of Law jobs in Huntington, NY
Associate Dean of Law assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of law. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Law provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Law typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Law typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Associate Dean of Law typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. We are looking for an immigration attorney who wants to grow professionally, gain experience, and prosper with the firm.
The duties and responsibility for the associate attorney includes but is not limited to handling and management of all immigration cases including all aspects of family-based immigration matters which include adjustment of status, citizenship, VAWA, asylum, removal defense, and special Immigrant Juvenile Status.
The Immigration Attorney will be trained and mentored by the associates in the firm. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience in the field and the current market. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, paid time off, end of year bonus, and paid family leave.
Immigration Associate Attorney must possess the following:
- Juris Doctor degree and be admitted to practice law in the United States or be in the process of being admitted.
- Excellent writing and communication skills is required
- Immigration Associate Attorney candidate must be able to set priorities and exercise good judgment
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Fluency in English and Spanish
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
