Associate Dean of Law assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of law. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Law provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Law typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Law typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Associate Dean of Law typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The School of Business' Business Administration department is home to numerous faculty and staff members dedicated to providing students with engaging and meaningful classes. As part of a continuous recruitment effort for part-time Adjunct Lecturers (Adjunct Instructor, NSA6), Fredonia seeks qualified candidates to teach courses on an as needed basis, consistent with the operating needs of the department.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Reporting to the Chair, the successful candidate will:
    Teach undergraduate business law course(s) on campus/face-to-face modality: topics such as the analysis of legal principles governing contracts, torts, agency and business organizations; Uniform Commercial Code subjects such as commercial paper, secured transactions, and sales; bankruptcy, debtor/creditor relations, product liability, estate and trust law, and property, accountant liability and international law;
    Provide accounting and business majors with the required knowledge and theory for the professional examinations with the emphases on practical business law problems involving the application of legal principles; ? Assess learning as assigned;
    Maintain office hours;
    Provide assessment and accreditation data;
    May provide academic advisement to students;
    May participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession;
    Be aware of, know, understand, and follow all university policies.

    Job Requirements:
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Master's degree;
    Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively, and in a collegial and professional manner, with students, faculty, and staff;
    Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and department mission.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Demonstrated successful teaching experience;
    Demonstrated experience teaching with technology.
