Associate Dean of Law jobs in Somerset, NJ
Associate Dean of Law assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of law. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Law provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Law typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Law typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Associate Dean of Law typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. - Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
- Represent clients in court proceedings when necessary
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Maintain client relationships and provide exceptional customer serviceRequirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the state bar association
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Proficiency in Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw research platforms
- Experience in legal drafting and document review
- Ability to litigate cases effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilitiesBenefits:
