Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of an undergraduate program. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Dean, Panuska College - Admin

    Job Purpose:
    Assist the Dean with the general administration of the Panuska College of Professional Studies.

    Essential Duties:
    • Oversee the curricular approval process for the College
    • Assist with development of new programs and revision of existing programs
    • Enforce compliance with departmental and University academic policies, regulations and requirements
    • Oversee updates to the College undergraduate and graduate catalogs
    • Manage the College academic master schedule
    • Assist with management of annual faculty assignments
    • Assist Dean with financial management of the College
    • Manage the College assessment processes
    • Oversee graduate orientations and award presentations
    • Oversee academic progress of graduate students
    • Support College retention efforts
    • Approve graduate students for degree conferral
    • Assist the Dean with development and implementation of the College strategic plan
    • Oversee the College physical plant
    - Assist the Dean with design, implementation and coordination of opportunities for faculty and students to engage in relevant, meaningful and reciprocal community-based teaching, learning and research- Assist Dean with supervision of College staff
    • Support the hiring processes within the College
    • Establish and maintain a cooperative, collegial work climate that enhances communication, trust and productivity of and among faculty and staff

    • Must be able to respect, support and contribute to the Universitys Catholic and Jesuit mission

    Minimum Education Requirements:
    • Earned Doctorate in one of the disciplines of the College

    Preferred Education:

    Minimum Job Experience Requirements:
    • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as full-time faculty member in higher education

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Schedule/Work Hours:
    Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Additional hours as required.
