Associate Finance Manager jobs in Provo, UT

Zermatt Utah Resort & Spa is hiring a full-time Finance Manger. The Finance Manager will support the Accounting Department by performing general accounting activities including GL Audit, cashiering, month end JE's, and accounts receivable. In addition, this individual will play a critical role in the preparation of month end and the year-end financials. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• General accounting duties in areas of need within the Accounting Department.
• Understand and help ensure compliance with all Accounting SOPs.
• Audit GL accounts for discrepancies.
• Download and code bank feeds daily. Reconcile all bank accounts at month end.
• Assists with the preparation and distribution of financial reports to include but is not limited to payroll, accrual & interdepartmental transfers.
• Review internal control systems, suggests improvements and notifies DOF of discrepancies.
• Assists with the annual internal and external audit process.
• Assists DOF in the preparation of the annual budget.
• Oversees the travel agent commission payment process.
• Work with operational departments to create and send out invoices promptly.
• Enter daily revenue journal entries from operating departments.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Effective communicator.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Qualified candidates must have a 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance or Hospitality Management.
• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of spreadsheets, both building and maintaining.
• Good time management skills.
• Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong customer service skills.

The Hotel functions seven days a week and 24-hours a day. All employees, both management and hourly, must realize, at times, it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift so support business demands.
