Associate Financial Aid Director jobs in Mcallen, TX

This opening provides you the opportunity to work within an urgent care clinic environment centered on walk-in appointments. Our clinic operates M-F 10 am-8 pm and Weekends 12-6 pm for those patients in our communities that need fast, high-quality treatment but their primary doctor may be unavailable. 

Required Certification for position:

• Valid Certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant, or a Biller and/or Coder, or a Medical Assistant
• plus a Valid CPR card

MedicalReceptionist Duties:

• Familiarity with electronic medical records 
• Administering the patient call-in and wait lists
• Answering phones, taking messages or directing to appropriate staff if necessary
• Receiving and entering patient demographic and insurance information
• Understanding medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT codes is a plus
• Receiving patient co-pays, deductibles and payments
• Ensuring all critical billing information and payment is received prior to patient check-out 
• Scheduling appointments
• Processing medical insurance payments
• Sending lab results to doctors or other clinicians
  
• Checking in patients before appointments and gathering patient information as needed

Required Skills: 

• 1 year of medical receptionist experience and insurance verification required
• Understanding medical terminology
• Setting up appointments for patients
• Using office phone systems, such as handling multiple calls or transferring calls to different department
• Familiar with computers and the internet
• Must know Microsoft Word and Excel and Google Drive
• Great customer service
