Associate Financial Aid Director jobs in Montana
Associate Financial Aid Director assists in the operation of the financial aid program. Instructs students and parents on the application for loans or scholarships. Being an Associate Financial Aid Director maintains records of scholarships, grants, and other monetary assistance. Has knowledge of available private, state, and federal financial aid programs. Additionally, Associate Financial Aid Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the Financial Aid Director. The Associate Financial Aid Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Associate Financial Aid Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Associate Director of Financial Aid is a full time, year-round position. This position provides high-level and technical leadership and direction to support financial aid applicants and the awarding processes.
Under the general direction of the Director of Financial Aid, the Associate Director of Financial Aid Systems provides strategic direction and administration of student financial aid programs through the effective implementation, development, and management of software. This position requires knowledge of and ability to interpret the complex financial aid rules, regulations, and applications of the Federal Department of Education and the State of Montana. The Associate Director applies systems analysis and project management tools and techniques in managing multiple projects. This position develops and implements related policies and procedures and will continually analyze current processes and student populations to further institutional, divisional and departmental goals such as recruitment and retention. The Associate Director also counsels students, parents, and the general public regarding financial aid requirements and processes. This position must have the ability to travel and assumes responsibility for the Financial Aid Office in the absence of the Director.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,889.00 - $57,034.00 per year
