Associate Financial Aid Director assists in the operation of the financial aid program. Instructs students and parents on the application for loans or scholarships. Being an Associate Financial Aid Director maintains records of scholarships, grants, and other monetary assistance. Has knowledge of available private, state, and federal financial aid programs. Additionally, Associate Financial Aid Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the Financial Aid Director. The Associate Financial Aid Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Job Summary: The Financial Aid Director is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the Financial Aid department to administer Federal, State, and Institutional funds and services while providing current and future students financial aid information. The Financial Aid Director will update financial aid programs annually (or as appropriate), lead staff meetings, share information as appropriate, promote the development of ideas for improved service and efficiency, and encourage teamwork of Financial Aid with other departments across the SEARK campus. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
