POSITION SUMMARY:
Deliver exemplary food service to all campers and staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to prepping, cooking, cleaning, sales, money handling and serving in a safe & clean environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ø Prepare food/concessions in a timely and efficient manner
Ø Assist in preparing healthy and nutritional meals for the children that attend our programs throughout Camp Tracy (including Day and Residential programs)
Ø Follow established standards of sanitation, safety and food preparation in all areas of the Kitchen including but not limited to following all appropriate local and state health department food safe rules and regulations.
Ø Assist in maintaining records, and preparing reports and claim forms necessary to comply with the requirements State, Federal, and other food programs. Such records and reports may include: inventory, menus, recipes, production reports, meal counts, distribution of goods.
Ø Be aware and sensitive of those children who are new to the program and take the necessary steps to ensure that they are oriented to program logistics, schedules, and rules that govern conduct and activities within the cafeteria.
Ø Be aware of allergies and/or other relevant health information
Ø Ability to attend all essential trainings/certifications
Ø Ensure compliance with all AYCC policies and procedures.
Ø Foster a work environment that’s inclusive, as well as diverse, where people can be themselves
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Ø A high school education or GED equivalence if preferred
Ø A valid driver’s license with a clean record is desirable
Ø Food Safety/Safe Handling Certification from an approved source
o Ability to obtain certification if not currently holding, within 6 months
Ø Civil Rights training is required and provided for all persons who are associated with Food Service
EXPERIENCE:
Ø 1 to 3 years of experience working in food distribution and preparation
Ø 1 to 3 years of customer service experience
