Associate Housing Director assists in all aspects of on-campus housing for students. Assigns residence hall managers to each dormitory. Being an Associate Housing Director reviews and updates of all housing policies to ensure the safety of residents. May also help maintain an off-campus housing program. Additionally, Associate Housing Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a Housing Director. The Housing Assistant is supervised by the Program Manager and is responsible for orienting all eligible participants to the program and providing housing search and supportive services. The position includes creating self-sufficient and stabilized households, increasing assets, and setting up community support. Some activities of the position include case management services, housing search, participating in rent and move-in activities, providing financial assistance, referrals, follow-up, employment search, budgeting, and life skills. Position will meet with participants regularly.
∙ Complete Intake process and develop case plans, budgets, and goal setting with participants monthly.
∙ Assess housing barriers of individuals and families experiencing homelessness and assist with housing search.
∙ Proved housing negotiations for rents, deposits, and lease agreements with landlords on the participants’ behalf, as needed.
∙ Act as an advocate and liaison with landlords and third-party resources.
∙ Conduct weekly check-ins with participants and two monthly in-person office and home visits with participants.
∙ Maintain thorough case notes on all program participant interactions and advocacy work.
∙ Assist program participants with building skills that are relevant to their goals (i.e., assisting with job search, resource applications, and other navigation of resources).
∙ Provide case management duties required and as defined by CAH for each participant.
∙ Monitor participants’ compliance with program guidelines.
∙ Maintain current HMIS systems and reports on participants.
∙ Track and report weekly on work completed and timeline.
∙ Follow personnel, financial, and confidentiality policies.
∙ Additional duties as necessary to assist with the operation and management of the CAH programs.

6. Have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
7. Must be able to obtain a fingerprint clearance card without restrictions (and maintain during employment) and lift 50 pounds.
8. Must have strong oral, written, and computer technical skills.
9. Must be computer literate with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
10. Be able to navigate efficiently through multiple in-house programs, Google Documents, Google Drive, Google mail and using share drives.
11. Experience with internet, on-line research, email, and electronic work is a must.
12. Must be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative to work with little direction after training and willing to learn new data systems.
13. Must work with integrity and uphold the CAH work ethic.
Prior experience is preferred. Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with human and/or social service programs (e.g., homeless, aging, mental health, adult protective services, child protective services, etc.). Bachelor's degree in social work preferred (obtained or in school), or a related field or two years’ experience in client/similar services.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
