Basic Function and Overview: Ticket Office Associates work efficiently to conduct ticket sales transactions but are also responsive to positively answering or directing guest's questions and or concerns.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain a basic knowledge of all types of tickets/products sold at the Resort.
- Sell tickets, season passes, gift cards, and in-house cards.
- Know point-of-sale systems to process vouchers, gift cards, sale of tickets, and season passes.
- Complete all necessary daily paperwork.
- Assist guests with directions and other resort information.
- Remain aware of employee conduct as it may relate to resort security (i.e., theft).
- Remain aware of consumer fraud as it may relate to resort security (i.e., theft).
- Cooperate with rental, ski school, and other departments as appropriate.
- Answer guest questions pertaining to the resort and surrounding area, as well as any questions regarding departments, events, activities and more.
- Willing to work weekends and holidays, and during adverse weather events such as snowstorms.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Communicate effectively and handle guests and employees with courtesy.
- Ability with computers, cash handling, and credit card processing.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A worker’s permit may be applicable.
- Previous customer service experience is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing.
