Associate Pastor assists the pastor in religious services and managing daily operations of an organization. Leads and implements outreach and educational programs and events that will maintain and grow membership. Being an Associate Pastor provides clerical support such as researching, selecting, and documenting passages or prayers to assist the pastor in planning and leading worship. Assists with administrative duties including managing calendars and schedules, preparing materials or educational documents, and communicating with volunteers. Additionally, Associate Pastor performs religious services and leads prayer. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a pastor. The Associate Pastor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Responsibilities of the Pastor (Article XVI. Pastor, Section B, #1 10 of the Wildare Constitution):
1.The Pastor shall read the Wildare Church Constitution, sign the signature page and agree to abide by it fully.
2.The Pastor shall act as an overseer of the church and shall comply with the scriptural description of overseer in I Timothy 2 and 3.
3.The Pastor shall prepare and preach Biblical messages based on the Entire Bible as expressed in II Timothy3:16.
4.Visit the sick and shut ins as needed.
5.Participate in the ministries of the church.
6.Lead the church spiritually in ministry and direction.
7.Conduct funerals, weddings, baptisms, member orientation amp;amp; confirmations and serve communion.
8.Attend monthly Administrative Board meetings and present the Pastor's report.
9.Plan worship services.
10.Shall meet annually with the SPR for review.
