    Position Summary:
    The Assistant Registrar for Systems and Curriculum (Assistant Registrar) is a key administrative roll within the Office of the University Registrar. This position reports directly to the University Registrar/Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management (Registrar) and has primary responsibility for ensuring that key enrollment/student/curricular systems/processes are developed and managed properly. This position directly supervises the Academic Scheduling Coordinator, Enrollment Systems Coordinator, Transfer Articulation Coordinator, and student assistants.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelors degree required.
    At least 2 years of functional experience in an area closely related to Student Services, such as Registration and Records, Financial Aid, Business Services, Admissions, or a closely related area.
    Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
    Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
    A client centered philosophy and a strong commitment to excellent service.
    At least 1 year of experience interpreting, enforcing, and helping develop policies and procedures.
    Comfortable prioritizing work, multi-tasking, and handling interruptions in a fast paced multifaceted environment.
    Functional use of voicemail, email, and various database systems along with working knowledge of MS Office.
    Experience with / ability to interact with a diverse population.

    Preferred Qualification :
    At least 1 year of experience leading and supervising staff
    Masters degree in an applicable field.
    Experience with cash management and associated regulations.
    Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
    Experience with Banner SIS or other integrated student information systems.
    Experience with Workday

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and understandable manner, both verbally and in writing.

    Ability to initiate, establish, and foster communication and teamwork by maintaining a positive, cooperative, productive work atmosphere in and outside the University with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within a diverse population and with those from various cultural backgrounds.

    Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set own priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines.

    Demonstrated customer service experience requiring a very high level of diplomacy and professionalism to effectively handle a broad range of sensitive interpersonal situations.

    Initiative in independently planning, organizing, and performing work assignments within broadly defined parameters.

    Excellent computer skills and proficiency with a variety of computer applications including word-processing, spreadsheets, databases, online systems, social media platforms, Internet as well as online calendaring and email.

    Demonstrated ability to interpret and consistently apply a wide variety of complex policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not always exist. Ability to work with frequent changes in policies and procedures, under pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Strong analytical and research skills; ability to gather, evaluate, and to develop well-reasoned conclusions and recommendations. Ability to proactively assess work operations and anticipate potential problems; ability to develop and implement strategies for preventing/resolving problems.

    Ability to effectively perform work of a highly sensitive and confidential nature that requires access to information. Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion, tact, and diplomacy.

    Ability to coordinate several personnel functions and determine the relative importance of each; ability to work with a high level of productivity and accuracy/attention to detail.

    Knowledge of or ability to independently analyze software functionality through technical documents, and design and document efficient/effective work processes; ability to independently analyze software problems, test probable causes, and recommend sound solutions.

    Ability to adapt to and work effectively in a heavily bureaucratic environment which requires regular interaction with a number of levels within the organization and multiple outside agencies.

    Working knowledge, or ability to quickly learn, university infrastructure, policies and procedures.

    Provides training and direction to student assistants.

    Special Conditions
    Must be willing to travel and attend training programs off-site for occasional professional development.
