Summary/Objective
At B&L, we strive to help our customers make better business decisions through our software, education, and training.
As an Accounting Project Consultant, you will work directly with our customers as a trainer and advisor, utilizing Odyssey software to promote and implement accounting best practices, controls, and costing.
Essential Functions
Train customers on software and accounting best practices
Meet with clients regularly to report on gaps, strategies, and project progress
Guide clients in implementing the software and resolving their issues
Core Competencies
Understanding typical accounting functions, such as Account Receivables, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Financial Statements.
The ability to understand and create unique business processes to match accounting best practices
Ability to reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts and journal entries
In-depth knowledge of month-end close processes and accruals
Working knowledge of General Ledger (GL)
Financial Statement setup and generation
General business intelligence
Additional Skills
The ability to work on multiple projects
The ability to work as part of a team
Problem-solving and strategic planning ability
Understanding Standard Costing, Cost Accounting, or Job Costs is a plus
Analytical skills

Preferred Experience & Knowledge
General understanding of the manufacturing process
Two years working with Accounts Payable and Receivable processes
General Ledger (GL)
Month and year-end close processes
Microsoft Office
Calculating manufacturing costing and overhead
Physical inventory
Preferred Education
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Information systems

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
