Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
- Conduct general ledger reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and provide insights for decision-making
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Assist with tax preparation and filing activities
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
Skills:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial concepts
- Proficiency in financial report interpretation and analysis
- Experience with bank reconciliation and account analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective financial report writing
- Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation processes
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as Xero or similar platforms
- Knowledge of wills, trusts, estate law, and tax regulations is a plus
