Fully Remote
Did you get a taste of the sweet remote life and are now being called back to the office? Are you tired of giving up part of your life each year and looking for a different kind of tax season? Join us - stay remote and regain some tax season balance!
We're looking for a passionate, detail-oriented financial expert with strong tech skills to be our firm's next Small Business Accountant. Are you capable of providing good accounting and tax support to small business owners, with a focus on delivering timely, meaningful information? Do you love helping small business owners understand what their profit and loss and balance sheet are telling them? Are you a team player that jumps in to help team members when they need a hand? You might be the perfect candidate for this position!
We need an enthusiastic, small business accounting specialist who can handle our client’s accounting needs, from bank feed categorization to general ledger reconciliations for clients across a variety of industries. In addition to regular monthly accounting work, you’ll get the opportunity to complete clean-up projects in QBO for sometimes messy clients and help determine the right monthly tasks that need to be completed each month to keep the books in great shape going forward.
After the books are closed, you'll also get the opportunity to work directly with clients to understand their numbers and plan for their taxes. While we do a few tax returns at our firm, our tax season is not a crazy busy time for us and won’t be for you either.
Our ideal candidate has an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting OR significant equivalent experience, has at least 3 years of accounting experience in a small to mid-sized firm, is currently QBO certified, and is a CPA, CPA Candidate, or an Enrolled Agent.
Please note, this is a remote position. While we do have an office in Meridian, we mainly use that for occasional company meetings for employees or clients in the Treasure Valley. Because of the nature of our business, you will need to have dedicated home office space where you can work uninterrupted and keep our client data confidential.
