Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Accounting typically reports to a department head. Teach music education courses at the undergraduate and graduate (summer only program) levels for music education majors, with a desired focus in secondary instrumental. Serve as academic advisor, supervise music education field experiences, serve as University Supervisor for student teachers, and develop local school partnerships along with other music education faculty. Participate in evaluation of curriculum and implementation of research-based pedagogies in music education program. Supervise Summer MME Capstone research projects. Engage in programs and school recruitment activities. Maintain an active research/creative activity agenda. Other duties, including ensemble conducting responsibilities, based on candidate’s background, abilities, and expertise.
This is a full time, nine-month, tenure-track position.
