Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing.

Role: Staff Accountant (Direct Hire)

Location: Gallatin, TN (On-Site)

Pay: $65,000-$70,000

Premise: Provide key accounting support to the financial operations of the organization.

Responsibilities:

· Review vendor invoices, process payments, and ensure three-way match of invoices, POs, and packing slips.

· Assist with monthly financial closings and reporting and participate in special projects as required.

· Run daily accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) invoicing activities, maintain aging balances, and manage returns/credit memos.

· Reconcile customer AR balances with electronic billing systems.

· Provide timely and accurate updates on accounts receivable to senior staff and customer service.

· Work towards bringing all receivable balances to current status.

· Assist in reconciling general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.

· Prepare monthly sales reports by customer and SKU according to ACT guidelines.

· Review expense accounts monthly for accuracy and record journal entries for reclassification.

· Provide daily gross profit reporting to internal managers and additional analysis as needed.

· Manage fixed asset additions, disposals, and reconciliations to ensure budget compliance.

· Resolve AP invoice discrepancies, correspond with vendors, and respond to inquiries.

· Review and post cash receipts, accounts receivable receipts, and accounts receivable invoices.

· Assist with annual financial audit and physical inventory.

· Maintain an orderly document retention program and filing system.

· Assist with journal entries and reconciliations of General Ledger Accounts.

· Prepare 1099s, tax-exempt forms, and credit reference requests.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.

· Experience: Two to three years of related experience.

· Language Skills: Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents.

· Computer Skills: Proficient in accounting software; preference for ERP experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
