    Job Description

    AECOM Water is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Professional Civil Engineer to join our Central California team out of our Bakersfield office. The new position will support the growth of the Central California Department whose work emphasis is on meeting the engineering needs of our local Special District and Municipal clients as well as supporting other Regions within the Water Business Line. We are seeking an individual with technical, project management, and business development experience in water/wastewater and other civil engineering projects. Our team is involved with all phases of a project from planning, design, bidding, and construction administration.

    Typical assignments include but not limited to;

    Technical

    • Planning including preparation of funding applications, environmental, right-of-way acquisitions, preliminary engineering studies, basis of design reports, master planning, and rate and connection fee studies.

    • Design including preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications as well as cost estimating.

    • Bidding including attendance to pre bid meetings, answering requests for information, preparation of addenda, and bid opening and analysis.

    • Construction which may include engineering services only such as review of requests for information and shop drawings submittals or full construction administration services including inspection services.

    Project Management

    • Management of multiple concurrent projects including their respective Scope, Schedules, and Budgets.

    • Manage AECOM Quality Assurance and Quality Control Program for assigned projects.

    Business Development

    • Assist Client Account Managers in the preparation of proposals.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS and 6 years of relevant industry experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    • CA PE License

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 10 years of municipal and special district engineering experience.

    • Experience in design and construction administration.

    • Project management experience or certification

    • Business development experience

    • Water / Wastewater treatment process engineering experience

    • Water / Wastewater conveyance systems experience

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Excellent problem-solving skills

    Additional Information

    Compensation

    Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation California locations only will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $93,000 - $150,000 USD
