Asst. Professor - Communication jobs in Riverside, CA

We’re looking for an individual who is

*patient,

*enthusiastic and

*reliable

to help a new college graduate with non-speaking autism to continue to improve his communication skills.

Knowledge of RPM / Spell 2 Communicate welcome, however we will also train candidates

Sessions to include:

Communication time in the students home, followed by an activity to give the opportunity to practice skills in the community

*short walks/hikes in the Menifee area

*attending restaurants, libraries and various sites in the community

*volunteer opportunities

Activities dependent on proficiency

Sessions are 2 to 3 hours/day. You will be working in a private home along with various community settings.

Hours are flexible but consistency is essential.

Required:
Clean DMV record and reliable transportation
Fingerprint clearance and criminal background check
Successfully completion of communication training or demonstration of appropriate skills

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 6 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• RPM/Spell2Comm: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Menifee, CA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
