Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Computer Science typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field. Develops new ideas and methods for instruction and prepares supplemental course materials to enhance instruction. Evaluates projects, research assignments and other course assignments to determine effectiveness. Examines new textbooks, including computer and instructional software, to improve instruction. Counsels students with academic, career, and personal needs and advises students for registration. Examines program/course content to achieve program and College goals. Performs college administrative duties, attends College meetings, and assists with recruiting efforts. Performs other duties which advance the mission of the College.
