Our growing pediatric dental practice is in search of a surgery scheduling coordinator to manage the office's sedation and hospital schedules. Our office strives to create an environment that prepares children of all backgrounds for a lifetime of good oral health. To do this we look to form lifelong patient relationships, provide caring and compassionate dental treatment, and make care accessible to children of all backgrounds. We also try to create a workplace where employees are fulfilled by their work and enjoy coming into the office everyday. That is why we are looking for an individual that enjoys working with children to provide a fun and pleasant dental experience. This person also needs to be a team player, able to multitask, a strong communicator, forward thinking, and well organized. Spanish speaking is a huge bonus.

Duties Include but are Not Limited To:

• Be the face of the practice by greeting patients when they enter and being the main point of contact via telephones

• Assists patients with completing any necessary forms or documents

• Verify and update patient information

• Confirm future appointments

• Schedule appointments

• Collect payment for procedures

• Work with patients to help maximize their dental benefits
• Submit pre-authorizations as necessary
• Schedule IV sedation and hospital visits
• Present necessary paperwork to IV sedation/hospital patients
• Schedule hospital patients in our system and Acombina
• Call in prescriptions
• Interact with other dental offices and local hospital to coordinate treatment

• Housekeeping duties

While we prefer someone that possesses all of these skills, we are willing to train the right person with the right attitude and personality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical terminology: 2 years (Preferred)
