Asst. Professor - Drama jobs in Hialeah, FL

Msgr. Edward Pace High School in Miami Gardens, Florida seeks to hire a full-time Drama Teacher for the 2024-25 school year. The Drama Teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for High School Drama/Theater instruction. This candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.

Qualifications:

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or related field.
• Florida Department of Education (FDOE) Professional Educator Certificate in Drama or related field, Grades 9-12 preferred.
• Strong presentation knowledge and skills with use of instructional technology, including iPads and proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate ability to engage students through project-based learning.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Effective oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar required.
• Practicing Catholic in good standing who fully adheres to and models the Roman Catholic Church teachings in faith and moral; Experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Knowledge of the basic tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
