The Department of History, Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Purdue University Northwest (Hammond and Westville, Indiana) anticipates hiring a full-time, non-tenure track Continuing Lecturer to teach introductory economics courses (such as a Survey of Economics, Principles of Economics, Microeconomics, and Macroeconomics) and other upper-level undergraduate economics courses as needed.
Candidates must have completed an M.A. or Ph.D. in Economics plus have a minimum of two years’ experience teaching economics at the college level. Candidates with health and/or regional economics background will be preferred.
Start date: Fall 2024. Responsibilities include teaching five classes per semester. Salary is competitive with similar positions at other regional institutions and includes benefits. Renewal of the position is possible and contingent on enrollment and successful performance reviews.
