Asst. Professor - Foreign Languages teaches courses in the discipline area of foreign languages. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Asst. Professor - Foreign Languages provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Foreign Languages typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field. Foreign Language Interpreter

  • Facilitates effective and clear communication between non-English speaking patients their families and Health System staff. Conducts medical and general interpreting for limited English staff patients and their families. Performs a variety of administrative tasks training and education within the Health System. In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. Position Compensation Range: $19.49 - $30.21 Hourly MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High School or equivalent required. Bridging the Gap Interpreting Course required. Experience: One year of medical interpreting experience required. Licensure: Expectation to obtain national credentialing to be recognized as a Certified Medical Interpreter guidelines found in departmental addendum located in department competency file. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires frequently traveling (distance: minimum 1 mile/daily). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
