replacement Visiting Assistant Professor of History to begin August 2024.
Ideal candidates will
be either ABD in or hold a Ph.D. or other terminal degree in History and must
demonstrate potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching. We welcome
candidates from all specializations, but we are
especially interested in candidates who are capable of teaching classes in two
or more geographical and/or thematic areas. The successful candidate will develop
and teach classes in their areas of expertise.
Essential job
functions include classroom teaching, research and other professional
development activities, and service to the department. The department and the
institute place a high value on engaging students from traditionally underrepresented
groups, and candidates from these groups are especially encouraged to apply.
