We are searching for a teacher to teach 6th grade Heritage Studies, 7th grade World History, and 8th American History.
Duties:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students in the learning process
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and support staff to address the individual needs of students
- Utilize learning technology to enhance instruction and support student learning
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a productive learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods and materials for students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning disabilities
- Provide guidance and support to students in their social, emotional, and behavioral development
Experience:
- Previous experience teaching middle school History is required
- Three years classroom teaching experience required
- Familiarity with learning technology and its integration into the classroom setting
- Strong classroom management skills to create a structured and organized learning environment
- Understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to apply them in the classroom
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
