    The office is in Palmetto Bay and the candidate is expected to work at the office. You will be expected to help manage the client files, draft legal documents, and work with the attorney directly and with the client. If you speak and write in Spanish, that is a major plus!

    Responsibilities
    • Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings
    • Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
    • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
    • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
    • Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents
    Qualifications
    • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
    • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills
    • Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
    • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
    • Talented communicator and writer

    • The ability to speak and write in Spanish is preferred.
    Compensation
    $20 - $25 hourly
