Wilkes University invites applicants for the position of Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Nursing in the Undergraduate Department of the Passan School of Nursing (PSON). The successful candidate is responsible for didactic and clinical instruction within the psychiatric and medical surgical courses in the undergraduate program. Effective teaching, mentoring, and advising are expected of all faculty members at Wilkes University. Service to the university and community, as well as scholarly activities support the student-centered core.

A Doctorate in Nursing is required, but will consider candidates who are completing their PhD dissertation or scholarly project component of their DNP education. Eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania, demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, and current clinical competence is required. The ideal candidate should have prior experience teaching at the college level. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The PSON provides comprehensive programming which has expanded professional opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. Both the undergraduate and graduate programs are fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
