    Position Summary:

    The College of Health and Natural Sciences at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge NH is seeking applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Biology and Health Sciences. This is a full-time (9-month appointment) faculty position commencing in August 2024.

    Responsibilities of this position entail teaching a variety of undergraduate courses including Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Introduction to Biology I and II and their associated laboratories, as well as upper-level courses in the applicant’s area of expertise. The faculty will also participate in teaching other College-wide courses as needed and is expected to contribute to the First-Year Experience. Additional expectations for this position include contributing to the development of the Biology and Health Sciences programs, providing academic advising to students, and developing/continuing a scholarly agenda that includes undergraduate student researchers. Franklin Pierce University is a member of the New Hampshire IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (NH-INBRE)

    Qualifications:

    We are seeking candidates that demonstrate strong leadership and experience. The successful candidate will:

    • have a doctoral degree in an appropriate field or closely related discipline,
    • will demonstrate teaching effectiveness at the college level,
    • will exhibit a strong commitment to undergraduate education, research, learning and advising, and
    • is expected to engage in institutional service as well as maintain a program of scholarly/creative work.
