  • Functions: To implement the strategic goals and objectives of the Regional Re- Entry Center. The focus of the program director is on operation and improvement of the systems that create and deliver the Sheriff’s Office Regional Re-Entry Center. The program director is responsible for ensuring operations are efficient, effective and proper management of resources, distribution of goods and services to participants and analysis of queue systems is done. Employ process standards if required by the Sheriff.

    • To give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the reentry and rehabilitation philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives by fulfilling contractual obligations established by The Department of Corrections.  
    • Directs and manages program, activities, and service delivery. Oversees design, marketing, promotion, delivery, and quality of program.
    • Recommends yearly budget for sheriff’s approval and prudently manages resources within those budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations.
    • Human Resource Civilization – effectively manages the offender human resources of RRC according to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform the current laws and regulations as instructed by the sheriff.
    • Community and Public Relations – assures the RRC and its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders.
    • Fundraising, oversees fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying resources requirements, researching funding sources, establishing strategies to approach funders, submitting proposals and administrating fundraising records and documentation.
    • Marshal limited resources as set out by the sheriff to the most productive uses with the aim of creating maximum value for the stakeholders.
    • Lead by developing and cascading the strategy/mission statement to the lower ranking staff, and implementing appropriate rewards/ recognition and coaching/corrective practices to align personnel with sheriff’s goals.
    • Maintaining and monitoring staffing, levels, knowledge, skills, attributes, expectations and motivation to fulfill requirements.
    • Drive performance measures for the measurement of an operations’ performance and consideration of efficiency versus effectiveness.
    • Other duties as assigned by the sheriff
