ATM Manager (Service & Operations) jobs in Des Moines, IA

Position Summary: Directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, purchasing, and other production-related activities. Oversees purchasing and other duties as required.

• 
  Maintains existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
• Supervises P & IC, purchasing, shipping/receiving, maintenance, and production.
• Provides strategic direction to assure plans are developed to achieve company goals and objectives, both short and long range.
• In conjunction with the Managers, assures the organizational structure and staffing is appropriate for the changing needs of the business.
• Provides an atmosphere that encourages change and employee involvement.
• In conjunction with the Managers, develops and implements operating plans and budgets.
• Assures the state-of-the-art machinery, equipment, processes and programs are being implemented throughout the organization.
• Assures that Cost Reduction, Inventory and Capital Plans are developed and implemented on a timely basis.
• Oversees preventive maintenance program.
• Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
• Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
• Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisor.
• Provides the necessary training and education for both salaried and hourly employees.
• Follows Company Ethics and Environmental Programs.
• Follow State and Federal Environmental Compliance Programs.

• 
  Four year degree. BS Engineering preferred.
• Five years of leadership experience in Metal Fabrication or 10 years of similar industry leadership experience.
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
• Skilled in heavy industrial manufacturing techniques.
• Must be a team player.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
