Prepares and reviews various agreements, contracts, and other legal documents. Additionally, Attorney represents the organization in litigation, negotiations, and other matters where legal counsel is required. May have a billable hours requirement. Requires a JD. Under direct supervision, learns to perform child support activities designed to develop knowledge and understanding of the Child Support program's policies and procedures; participates and completes formal and on the job training as required; performs other duties as assigned. Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude to achieve a positive outcome.
Duties:
- Assist in the establishment and enforcement of child support in new and existing cases.
- Participates in formal and on-the-job training designed to develop comprehensive knowledge of the Child Support program's policies and procedures.
- Learns to utilize the child support system and other web-based applications necessary to perform the duties of the position.
- Assesses client needs, providing information on their accounts and/or referring them to in house specialized services and/or community services offered by partnering agencies.
- Interprets and explains relevant statutes, regulations, and procedures to case participants. Explains the responsibilities and role of the child support agency in establishing paternity, a legal obligation for support, and the enforcement of support orders.
- Uses multiple computer programs to research, provide information, manage, and update electronic case files; reviews and ensures quality control of inputted information and data for accuracy.
- Returns calls and emails to custodial parents, non-custodial parents, attorneys, other caseworkers, and local law enforcement.
- Makes sure all information on the child support system is updated and accurate.
- Serves as a liaison between all attorneys and parties involved.
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, as we serve diverse customer bases
- Excellent phone etiquette and the ability to handle high call volumes
- Proficient in English language (both written and verbal)
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
