Attorney is responsible for using specialized knowledge of national, state, and/or local laws to advise and represent clients and organizations in criminal or civil proceedings and other legal matters. Provides legal advice and counsel in support of business activities and transactions. Being an Attorney researches and interprets existing laws and regulations and anticipated changes to laws to guide informed decisions and reduce risk. Prepares and reviews various agreements, contracts, and other legal documents. Additionally, Attorney represents the organization in litigation, negotiations, and other matters where legal counsel is required. May have a billable hours requirement. Requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to a manager. The Attorney work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., is a multi-office national defense firm, is seeking Florida licensed attorneys for our Tallahassee, FL office in multiple practice areas including the following areas: General Practice and General Liability. The ideal candidate would have 1 years litigation experience.
Work would entail reviewing and preparing summaries of medical records, preparing motions, covering hearings, preparing clients for depositions and attending depositions as well. We are open to hiring and training attorneys who haven't practiced in these areas.

- Draft discovery and respond to discovery
- Draft and respond to discovery related motions
- Regularly attend court appearances
- Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses
