Audio Visual Technician
JANUS Research Group is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Audio, Visual, Lighting and Videoconferencing Specialist to provide support to the Fires Center of Excellence (FCoE) & Fort Sill (FS) Chief Information Office, Chief Knowledge Management & G6 Office (CIO/CKO/G6) Support Staff working under the FCoE & FS Chief of Staff.
Audio, Visual, Lighting and Videoconferencing Specialist designs, develops, implements, installs, operates, and sustains audio, visual, lighting, and videoconferencing (AVL-VC) systems for classrooms and conference rooms. The AVL-VC Specialist programs, configures, and troubleshoots system such as Crestron, AMX, DSPs, matrix mixers and switches, and codecs (Cisco, Tandberg, and Polycom).
Tasks also include providing user training on AVL-VC systems, sustains and operates Senior Leadership AVL-VC systems, and provides on-site support for large events such as the annual Fires Conference.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a current Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) – General Certification.
- At least 4 years of verifiable experience with the following:
- Providing Audio, Video, Lighting, and Videoconferencing systems support.
- Digital Sound Processor (DSP) Equipment Installation and Operations.
- Sound Board Equipment Installation and Operations.
- Cisco, Tandberg or Polycom Videoconferencing Equipment Installation and Operations.
- Digital Lighting Control Systems Equipment Installation and Operations.
- Digital Sound Processing (DSP) Equipment Installation and Operations.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and climb/work at heights of 20 feet.
- Must be physically able and comfortable working at heights (catwalks, lifts, etc.), in dimly lit venues, and around restricted/tight spaces when necessary.
- Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy equipment
